Bumbu Babah is a Nasi Padang and More brand by Babah Ventures Sdn Bhd, a fully Bumiputera-owned company supported by a professional team experienced in restaurant operations, central kitchen systems and brand development.

We began with a simple but meaningful purpose:

To serve honest, heritage-inspired food at prices people can enjoy every day.
That is why our slogan is: Rasa Warisan, Harga Menawan — Heritage Taste, Honest Price.

About Our Founder

Ajak Shiro

Bumbu Babah was founded by Ajak Shiro — a well-known Malaysian celebrity, comedian, actor, and the morning show host of the #1-rated program on Suria FM.

He is also the Champion of Maharaja Lawak Mega 2017.

Despite his public profile, Ajak is known for being humble, friendly, and approachable — values that are deeply reflected in the warmth of Bumbu Babah.

The idea for Bumbu Babah actually began at home.

One day, after Ajak brought home food from a restaurant, his daughter Nada simply said:

“Babah, why don’t we open our own restaurant?”

That moment planted the seed.

The brand name also comes from his family:

“Bumbu” means spice base in Indonesian — the foundation of flavor.

“Babah” is the affectionate name Ajak’s children call him at home.

From a family table, a brand was born — to be shared with many more families.
